The Athens Area Chamber of Commerce hosts several events each month, but a favorite among members is our monthly NetWORK Lunch, held on the second Tuesday of each month.
We meet at the restaurant of our choice at 11:30, order lunch and mingle while we get ready to hear about what local businesses are up to. Here are some answers to the questions we’re asked most often about NetWORK Lunch.
We’ll meet at Carrabba’s Italian Grill on Atlanta Highway for September and October NetWORK Lunches, and at the Graduate Athens in November, December and January. Check the event calendar for details and directions.
Click the “Events” tab on our website, then visit the event calendar. Scroll to the desired month and click on the event you wish to attend. Complete the form on the registration screen and hit “submit!”
Online – Once you’ve completed the registration form you’ll be directed to PayPal.
Pay in Person – We will accept cash or check at the door ($5 surcharge for paying in person).
NetWORK Lunch is $15 for members and $25 for non-members ($5 surcharge if you choose to pay at the door)
All Chamber members are invited to attend NetWORK Lunch. Guests are welcome. First-time guests will be charged $15, but after the first visit the price goes to $25. We typically see 30-40 people each month.
Check-in is from 11:30-11:45 AM. Guests mingle until 11:45 when lunch is served. Chamber announcements are made first and a speaker who was selected the previous month gives a five-minute presentation on their business. During the meal, you’ll be given a networking assignment and after the meal you will stand up and introduce yourself and your business.
You should bring your nametag and plenty of business cards. You are also welcome to bring coupons or flyers from your business.
