What inspired you to start your business in Athens?
The demand from hospitals, doctors and the public for the product.
What made you decide to become a Chamber member?
I wanted to support the Athens business community.
What have you learned from your fellow Chamber members?
I learned that the members all work hard and have many of the same struggles.
How has being a chamber member helped you reach your business goals?
The chamber has provided me with contacts, networking opportunities, publicity, and classes for improvement.
What advice can you offer to fellow members of the local business community?
I would suggest becoming involved. Since I am self employed, I am not free to participate in many activities unless they are before the business day begins. So I’m thankful for the small business breakfast club.
What are some goals you’ve set for your business this year?
My main goal is to expand my customer base to include more outlying county residents, and to be supportive to Elijana Cosmetics, the new resident in our storefront building that has moved here from downtown.
In what ways would you like to see the Athens’ business climate evolve in the upcoming years?
I would like to see us address and slow down the outflow of businesses to neighboring counties in order to maintain our own county’s tax base and attract customers to our business areas.
In your opinion, what’s the most valuable asset the Chamber offers its members?
I believe the most valuable asset the Chamber offers is its networking opportunities.
