Learning Opportunity: Xero 101

Next week, Chamber member HW Creative Marketing, is co-hosting a learning opportunity for Xero cloud accounting software users in the Athens area.

The four-hour class will be held from 9am – 1pm at the Chamber Building at 245 W. Hancock Ave. and is open to the public. Registration is $49 per person and includes breakfast.

Xero is as known for its simple, easy-to-use interface as it is for its powerful integration capabilities, so it’s no wonder small businesses are curious about moving their finances to the cloud.

Hands-On Training

Xero 101 covers the basics of tracking your company’s finances. Topics include:

  • Keeping track of your bank and credit card accounts
  • Tracking incoming money using quotes and invoices
  • Tracking outgoing money with purchase orders and recording bills
  • Generating reports to track how your business is doing

At $49 per person, the class is part hands-on, part tips and tricks, and part Q&A, so it’s ideal for users of all proficiencies.

Save the Date

To further develop your Xero skills, the class is being taught by former Xero U.S. Director of Education Carla Caldwell, now of Caldwell Consulting and Training in metro Atlanta. The Oct. 13 opportunity is the only one of its kind in the state of Georgia.
