Barberitos has decided to deliver three times a week from its downtown location. As February comes to an end, Athens has some exciting changes coming up in the future! Last week, a new bill was introduced aiming to help aid the music industry in Georgia through tax credits. Although rent rates have been continually rising, Athens rent is projected to remain below the average rent rates in Georgia and the United States. This week, UGA employees were appointed as Clarke County’s Mentors of the Year, thirteen local businesses made the 2016 Bulldog 100 List, and Clarke County current, school superintendent announces his acceptance as Fulton County’s future, school superintendent. 7 New Members Added to the AACC Board of Directors

The Athens Area Chamber of Commerce has added 7 new members to the board of directors for 2016. Ralph Johnson Since May 2002, Ralph Johnson has served as the Associate Vice President for Facilities Management at UGA, where they manage over 16 million square feet of building space, with a staff of just over 900 full time employees. He has a BS EE from Penn State, an MS EE and a multidisciplinary certificate in Energy Engineering from Georgia Tech. He is a registered professional engineer.
